World Peace and Prayer Day, Indigenous Causes, Sustainability and Human Rights Advocacy
I supported Indigenous, Migrant and Native Title causes in Australia, Asia and Africa before joining World Peace and Prayer Day - International Meeting of Leaders, Elders and Holy People and Activists for Mother Earth, peace and planetary survival. I joined this global movement of 7 million people at the 2002 Meeting of WPPD founded by Lakota Spiritual Leader Chief Arvol Lookinghorse and hosted at Mahatma Gandhi's Sree Meamanen Temple (of the Mother Returning) in South Africa by his granddaughter Hon. Ela Gandhi. I worked with Wolakota international founders and leader Paula Horne (Lookinghorse) to establish planning, strategy and promotional and fundraising relationships based in London. I later worked with other Indigenous delegates on individual projects and media, and with other Indigenous spiritual and sustainability advocates. I eventually focussed my anthropology academic interests in this area and cultural astronomy.
